65^th Birthday Bash Update

Classmates,

I hope that everyone is looking forward to Memorial Day Weekend. We have about 30 classmates who have signed up for the 65^th Birthday Bash. We have set up the event for 100 Classmates and their guest.  We hope that registration will pick up over the next couple of weeks.

The committee has decided to include every Classmate that registers and pays by June 1, 2024 into a lottery to win an $100.00 gift card. The lottery will be held at the event. You must be present to win.

Additionally, those Classmates that donate to the 65^th Birthday Bash will be included in a  lottery to win a $50.00 gift card. The donation must be received by June 10^th.  This lottery will also be held at the event. The winner will be notified by the committee.

The information below is the information that went out earlier.

We are looking to forward to the fellowship as we get closer to our 50^th anniversary.

In the meantime, please pray for our Classmate James Maxwell who recently had a tumor removed from his brain. I understand that the surgery went well and that he is in good spirits.

Classmates,

The Birthday Bash Committee has finalized our 65^th Birthday celebration event. The information is as follows:

• We have confirmed the date of Saturday, June 15^th, 2024.  This date was selected because of the number of other activities that are happening in Jackson on other weekends in June. The cost will be $35.00 per classmate and guest, paid in advance. There will be no money collected at the door.
• Payments must be submitted by Sunday June 9^th so that we can have a good head count for ordering food.
• The location will be at the Hub City Brewery, 250 West Main St.  Jackson, TN 38301. 
• Happy hour starts at 5 pm, dinner will be served at 6:15 pm. 
• Door prizes will be announced during dinner and afterwards. (Please donate a door prize)
• The dress for the event will be evening casual, (wear one of your many JCMHS Class of 1977 T-shirts or any other memorabilia from past events if you would like).
• The music and celebrations will be after dinner (around 8 pm until 10 pm). We will have a DJ. The Brewery is open till 1 pm. Classmates who want to stay longer can do so if it is not past their bedtime!
• We will have some fun and games and Door prizes. Hub City Brewery has a gaming area for those of you who would like to bowl, through darts, and practice shuffle boarding.
• If you or your organization would like to donate a door prize, please contact me or Wendy (LaWinda Crosby) Hill. We would like to have as many as we can get by June 9th.
• We are looking at having a three-meat barbeque supper (pulled chicken, pulled pork, and ribs) with green beans, baked beans, and potato salad.   
• For those with dietary restrictions (yes, we are getting to that season) let us know and we will make an effort to accommodate.
• Finally, we plan on leveraging technology to collect money and donations (for those who cannot make it…hint…hint.  Please select this Forms link (JCMHS 1977 65^th Birthday Party) to  register or submit your donation.  You can use CashApp, or Zelle.
